Why Memorize Scripture?

Easy answer, because His Word is the exact thing you need!  Life is a journey; the eternal word of the eternal God guides us.  God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119).  God’s word shall not return empty but it shall accomplish that which God desires and it shall achieve the purpose for which God sends it (Isaiah 55).  The word of God endures forever (Isaiah 40).  The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4).  Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked, or stand in the way that sinners take, or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.  That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers (Psalm 1).

The first level is geared towards children and individuals who are new to scripture memorization.  Each level gradually increases the degree of difficulty.
